This summer, Broward County libraries will take children beyond the boundaries of their homes and into the limitless worlds of their imagination!
The “Imagine Your Story” Summer Learning Program is going virtual, with digital programming available across multiple platforms from May 30 through August 15 for Broward County students and families. The fun and educational programming will include incentives, awards, and exciting challenges.
We have seen unprecedented changes in learning and education during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the end of the school year, libraries will play an even more important role in ensuring that children do not fall behind in reading and math this summer. When children do not engage their minds during the summer they lose an average of 21/2 months’ worth of learning, and educators fear that the dangers of falling behind may be greatly increased this year.
The Broward Public Library Foundation wants to make sure every child and teen has the opportunity to benefit from these learning opportunities provided by Broward County libraries. Help us keep children engaged and learning this summer by supporting the “Imagine Your Story” programs. A digital Summer Learning Program guide is available on the Broward County Library website, broward.org/library.
Every donation will help encourage personal and academic success across Broward County and provide children a summer of entertainment and education. Below are some ways you can contribute to this enriching, essential program.
Please help Broward County’s children create their own stories and discover there are no limits to their imagination!
