Patricia Engel's It's Not Love, It's Just Paris is a vibrant, wistful narrative about an American Girl in Paris who navigates the intoxicating and treacherous complexities of independence, friendship and romance. Lita del Cielo, the daughter of two Colombian orphans who arrived in America with nothing and made a fortune with their Latin food empire, has been granted one year to pursue her studies in Paris before she must return to work in the family business. She moves into a gently crumbling Left Bank mansion known as "The House of Stars" where a spirited but bedridden Countess Seraphine rents out rooms to young women visiting Paris to work, study and, unofficially, find love.
bc-engel-its-not-love Engel's debut short story collection, Vida, was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Fiction Award, Young Lions Fiction Award, winner of a Florida BOOK Award and Independent Publisher Book Award and named a Best Book of the Year by NPR, Barnes & Noble and L.A. Weekly. Her award-winning fiction has appeared in A Public Space, The Atlantic, Boston Review and Harvard Review.

In a digital age, what's real and what matters? In Holding Dear: The Value of the Real, Levenger co-founder and CEO Steve Leveen contemplates the role of the physical in helping us find balance as we move ever deeper into the virtual. Along with predicting which physical objects will endure, Steve confesses to his own youthful distrust of "stuff"-until he realized that well-made objects could help people get more from their lives, both personally and professionally. This is what Levenger has dedicated itself to since the company's founding in 1987.
bc-holding-dear Steve serves on the boards of the National Book Foundation and the Conscious Capitalism organization. He is active in the Young Presidents' Organization-World Presidents' Organization, where he is designing programs to put more books into the hands of business leaders. An avid cyclist, Steve is a founder of the annual bike-a-thon for the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, where Levenger is headquartered.
