We welcome author and longtime Sun-Sentinel journalist Kingsley Guy. In his first book, Queen of the Heavens, Guy captures the majesty of the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, bringing the distant past to life through vivid imagery and storytelling. Kingsley's fascination with ancient Egypt began in 1997, when he first saw the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the temples of the Nile while on assignment for South Florida's Sun-Sentinel newspaper.

After years of study, including on-site research for Queen of the Heavens, he transformed his journalistic writing skills to those of a novelist. He now writes on a freelance basis for the Sun-Sentinel and other South Florida publications, and is a frequent guest on local radio and television shows. Kingsley currently is writing a second novel, also set in ancient Egypt.

Lucinda has been in the kitchen since she was tall enough to reach the counter. She and her three brothers grew up in a half-Italian, half-Irish household that valued good cooking and boisterous family dinners-which inspired her to become a chef, cooking teacher, caterer, and cookbook author. She is a firm believer that food, security, and love are inextricably linked and few things are more important-or reliably joyful-than eating with your family. Her fourth cookbook, Mad Hungry Cravings: 173 Recipes for the Food You Want to Eat Right Now, will be published on March 19, 2013.
