The Broward Public Library Foundation was
instrumental in raising the funds for these two outstanding
additions to the Broward County Library system.
AFRICAN-AMERICAN
RESEARCH LIBRARY AND CULTURAL CENTER

Third public library of its kind in the nation with a research library dedicated
to books, documents and artifacts documenting the experiences of people of African
and Caribbean descent. The Library Foundation supports the annual Black History
Month program in February.

MUSEUM OF THE MODERN BOOK: THE DIANNE AND MICHAEL
BIENES SPECIAL COLLECTIONS AND RARE BOOK LIBRARY - The
Center houses some rare and special editions. It conducts
exhibitions open to the public throughout the year.
